As a haulage, logistics and maritime operator working across Nigeria’s industrial, construction, oil and gas and marine sectors, Impetus Marine and Logistics Limited maintains a structured framework of corporate policies. These policies, aligned with the standards of Impetus Marine and Logistics UK Limited and applicable Nigerian regulatory requirements, govern the conduct of the Company, its employees, contractors and business partners.
Health, Safety, Security and Environment (HSE) Policy
The Company regards the health and safety of its employees, drivers, contractors, clients and members of the public as a core operational priority, given the inherent risks of heavy-duty haulage, marine and offshore logistics activities. The Company is committed to:
• Complying with all applicable Nigerian occupational health and safety legislation, port and maritime safety regulations, and relevant international (including UK-aligned) safety standards.
• Maintaining its fleet of tipping trucks and other operational assets to a roadworthy and safe standard through scheduled inspection and preventive maintenance programmes.
• Providing driver and crew training, defensive driving and safe-loading instruction, and periodic refresher training for all haulage and marine personnel.
• Conducting risk assessments, journey management planning and permit-to-work procedures prior to high-risk haulage, loading and marine operations.
• Investigating all incidents, near-misses and accidents, and implementing corrective and preventive actions to avoid recurrence.
• Providing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) and safety systems for all personnel engaged in haulage, warehousing, marine and site-based operations.
• Pursuing a target of zero lost-time incidents across all Company operations.
Environmental and Sustainability Policy
Recognising the environmental sensitivities associated with haulage, dredging, marine transportation and oil and gas support services, the Company is committed to:
• Operating in compliance with the National Environmental Standards and Regulations Enforcement Agency (NESREA) requirements and other applicable Nigerian environmental legislation.
• Minimising the environmental impact of its fleet and marine operations, including responsible fuel management, emissions monitoring and spill-prevention measures.
• Ensuring the safe handling, transportation and, where applicable, disposal of petroleum products, hazardous cargo and industrial minerals in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Supporting the responsible development of Nigeria’s solid minerals and oil and gas sectors through environmentally conscious operating practices.
Quality Policy
The Company is committed to the consistent delivery of safe, reliable and efficient haulage, logistics and maritime services that meet or exceed client expectations and applicable regulatory and contractual requirements. This commitment includes ongoing investment in fleet maintenance, staff competency, and operational processes, together with periodic review of service performance and continuous improvement of the Company’s logistics and maritime operations.
Anti-Bribery, Anti-Corruption and Business Ethics Policy
The Company maintains a zero-tolerance approach to bribery, corruption, fraud and other unethical business practices, in compliance with the Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Act, the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Act, and relevant anti-bribery standards observed by its UK parent group. All directors, employees, agents and contractors are required to conduct Company business with honesty, integrity and transparency, and to avoid conflicts of interest in dealings with clients, government agencies and regulators.

Security Policy
Given the operational exposure of haulage convoys, warehousing facilities and marine assets, the Company maintains security protocols for the protection of personnel, cargo, vessels, vehicles and facilities, including route risk assessment, cargo tracking, access control at depots and terminals, and coordination with relevant Nigerian security and regulatory agencies.
Data Protection and Confidentiality Policy
The Company is committed to protecting the confidentiality and integrity of client, employee and business information in accordance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023, and to maintaining appropriate confidentiality over commercially sensitive information obtained in the course of its haulage, logistics and maritime business.
Compliance and Regulatory Policy
The Company operates in compliance with the Companies and Allied Matters Act 2020, the requirements of the Corporate Affairs Commission, the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA), the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), the Department of Petroleum Resources / Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (where applicable), and other relevant regulatory bodies governing haulage, logistics, maritime and oil and gas support activities in Nigeria.
